I'll never forget the first time I said "i love you". I meant it then, and i never regret saying it...
I think it is the most overused statement today. Sometimes I feel it has lost its meaning and the words come so easily. I even wrote a little something about it:
Face to face on a cold snowy night
Our hearts beat in patterns
He smiled and told me he loved me The words froze in the night air
Fell to my face turning to tears
His heart didn't see like mine
Eyes didn't beat like mine
I knew he didn't mean it.
Jilly hit it on the proverbial nostril w/ that line. I recall the first time hearing it, I thought: day-YUM! That's IT! Sista just SAID it in its most naked form.
Sometimes LOVE really does slip out unexpectedly... something attune to a verbal fart you didn't mean to release.
Sometimes Love runs down the chin, like drooling moment, and we must then accept its embarrassment.
Sometimes what we feel is so tender in its manifestation that it leaves us feeling naked in the aftermath of its sentiment. But just because something embarrasses us doesn't mean it isn't real.... or necessary for our spirits to release. And some words are just simply that: necessary!
One.
I know this is meant to be a deep moment and all, so I will give you that...oh who am I kidding I am going to say what is truly on my mind, what else dripped down your chin and landed in his lap...inquiring minds want to know..I have i've been MIA for a minute now, so are we getting the goods now...You don'thave to tell it here, becasue I know you all shy with the really juicy stuff, but you know the email address, you can tell me in private...lmao
