Pops (Update 1)

Hey everyone ...

A real short update to let you know that my father is doing a little better. He is still in the hospital (ICU) and will be there for quite some time. He will have surgery for his heart in the coming week and he's battling pneumonia. While he's no longer sedated and off the respirator, he is a bit loopy, cantankorous and sleepy from all the meds and his general dislike of hospitals.

Java-Mama has has been to see him everyday and Rugrat, The Voice, Tweet and myself are all coming together to help out.

Thank you for all your continued support and prayers! He's not out of the woods yet but hopefully after the surgery and rehabilitation, he'll be home sometime in July. I'll keep you apprised of the situation.

I finally made it!

When I began this blog several months ago, I never envisioned I would talk to my favorite authors and meet interesting people. Furthermore, I never imagined I would reach 100 posts!

I thought to myself, "I really don't know what I'm going to write about; I don't have a lot on my mind ... "

Since I returned to school, I haven't had the time to keep up with my blog in the manner I'd prefer. However, rest assured, that will change! I finally got my laptop and I'm discovering the joy of wi-fi so I can update my blog from school, at my boyfriend's house, at work or just wherever! Moreover, I purchased a 250 GB portable hard drive which maintains all my personal files from my home computer so hopefully you all will be hearing from me ... a lot!

Hey everyone!

I decided I need a break (mentally and physically) for a while so I'm going to take the next week off from blogging. My departure from work has provided a week before school begins so I'm going to use the week to catch up on personal items, job hunt, clean house, practice, and simply relax.

Furthermore, I want to thank those who have commented over the past month as well as the two SGL authors (Ross & Smith) for contributing to my blog and adding an extra flair!

I hope everybody is enjoying their summer vacations as well and I'll return in September!

I want to say a quick thank you to everyone that has been reading my blog and leaving comments! It's only been a few weeks and I'm so excited that I have a small audience; don't want to make you feel unappreciated so thank you!

Most of the people leaving comments are my "idols" in the blogosphere. I've been reading them for years and they are like celebs to me. To actually be able to interact and feel a part of the group is a great feeling! So thank you again and I'll try to keep some interesting stuff coming! :o)
